Guide, updated as Rockstar confirms more
How to 100% GTA 6
Nobody knows yet, and this page says so. Rockstar has not announced how Grand Theft Auto VI counts 100%, and no completion screen appears in any official footage. What we do have is 27 minutes of the Extended Look, the official site, and two decades of how Rockstar has counted completion before. This guide separates the three, and it grows as Rockstar confirms more. It will never grow because a leak did.

Five things the Extended Look shows, which is as close to a 100% list as anything honest gets before launch.
How Rockstar has counted 100% before
In Grand Theft Auto V, 100% was a fixed list: the story missions, the strangers and freaks encounters, a set of hobbies and pastimes, random events, stunt jumps, under-the-bridge and knife flights, the two big collectible sets, and a short miscellaneous list. Plenty of things in the game did not count at all. Red Dead Redemption 2 did the same with its own categories and added the compendium. The pattern that matters for planning: a small number of categories, each with a fixed total, and a game that tells you when a row is done.
Our GTA V 100% checklist and Red Dead 2 checklist are those lists, item by item. If you want a feel for the size of a Rockstar 100% run before November, they are the reference.
What Rockstar has shown that fits those categories
- Activities with a score. Racing on a tarmac circuit and a motocross track, a target range scored on targets remaining, and timed checkpoint runs scored on a percentage. A visible score is the strongest sign an activity will count.
- Pastimes. Basketball, gym weights, kayaking, skydiving and parachuting, boating. These are the hobbies-and-pastimes shape from GTA V.
- Robberies and events. A jewellery store robbery on foot, an armoured truck taken in traffic, a club with an ID check at the door, an in-game livestream. Random events counted in GTA V; how these count here is not announced.
- Two protagonists. Jason and Lucia are playable and switchable. Whether some tasks are per character, as GTA V's were, is not announced.
The full frame-by-frame list is on the activities page, and the tickable version is the GTA 6 checklist.
What is still unknown
- Whether there is a completion percentage at all, and where it is shown.
- Collectibles: none shown. Every previous GTA had them.
- Totals for anything. One range had 12 targets. That is the only number in the footage.
- Whether the four icons under the wanted stars track something that counts.
What to sort out before 19 November
- Know your launch hour. Rockstar has given a date and no time. Our release time page works out what local midnight means where you are, and the RDR2 precedent.
- Pick an edition once. Standard is $79.99, Ultimate is $99.99, and the pre-order bonus is the same on both. The editions page has the exact differences and regional prices.
- Pre-load. Sony's product page lists a seven day pre-load, so the download is done before launch night.
- Decide how you track. Phone, second screen or the console browser. The checklist works on all three and syncs if you sign in.
- Streaming it? The stream overlay shows your progress bar live; set it up on a current game now so launch night is a token paste, not a setup session.
Questions people ask
How long will it take to 100% GTA 6?
Not known. Rockstar has not given a runtime or a completion list. For scale, a full GTA V 100% run is roughly 60 to 80 hours for most players, and RDR2 is longer. GTA 6 will be measured properly on this site once the list exists.
Does GTA 6 have a 100% completion reward?
Not announced. GTA V and RDR2 both had one. If Rockstar confirms one it goes on this page with the source.
Do activities count towards 100% in GTA 6?
Not announced. The ones with a visible score in the Extended Look, racing, the target range and checkpoint runs, are the likeliest, because a score means the game is already keeping count.
Can I 100% GTA 6 as either character?
Jason and Lucia are both playable and you can switch between them. Whether any completion task is tied to one of them is not announced.
