Updated as Rockstar confirms more
GTA 6 cheats
No cheat codes have been confirmed for Grand Theft Auto VI, and this page will not invent any. Rockstar has not published a single one, and none appear in either trailer or the Extended Look. Nobody outside Rockstar has played the finished game, so every "full list" of GTA 6 cheats for PS5, Xbox or PC you can find today is made up. A code goes on this page when it has worked on a real console, and not before.
What cheat codes have always touched in these games: weapons, the wanted level, vehicles. Every picture here is official GTA 6 footage, and none of it shows a cheat.
What Rockstar has said about cheating
One thing, and it is about mods rather than codes. Rockstar's Mod Guidelines, published on 10 September 2026 and covering its games in general, tell players not to make, share or use cheat menus or other software that interferes with Rockstar's multiplayer, online services or its licensed Creator Platform.
That is a rule about online mod menus. It says nothing either way about single player cheat codes of the kind every game below has had, and it would be wrong to read it as Rockstar ruling them out.
How cheats work in the Rockstar games we cover
We publish working cheat lists for four Rockstar games, and each one handles cheats slightly differently. The pattern worth knowing is the last column: every one of them costs you trophies while cheats are on.
| Game | How you enter them | What it costs you |
|---|---|---|
| GTA 5 | A button combo on the controller, or a number dialled on the in-game phone. | Achievements and trophies are switched off for the rest of that session. |
| Red Dead Redemption 2 | A phrase typed into the Cheats screen in Settings. Some only work after you buy a particular newspaper in game. | Saving, trophies and achievements are blocked for that session. |
| San Andreas (Definitive Edition) | A button combo on the controller. | Achievements and trophies are disabled on that save file for good. |
| Vice City (Definitive Edition) | A button combo on the controller. | Achievements and trophies are disabled on that save file for good. |
So the precedent is strong that GTA 6 will have cheats in some form, and just as strong that using one will cost you something. Neither is confirmed until Rockstar says so or the game is out.
What is not known yet
- Whether GTA 6 has cheat codes at all.
- How they would be entered: buttons, the in-game phone, a menu, or something new.
- Whether using one disables trophies and achievements, and whether that lasts a session or marks the whole save.
- Whether any have to be unlocked first, the way Red Dead 2 ties some to newspapers.
If you are going for 100%
Plan as if cheats will cost you trophies, because in every game above they did. Keep one clean save for the run that counts and do your messing around on another. The GTA 6 checklist and the trophy page will say plainly whether cheats affect either, as soon as that is known.
Where the real list will appear
Right here, the day codes are found and checked on a real PS5 and Xbox, with the same layout as our other cheat pages: the combo for each platform, what it does, and anything it breaks. If you want to know the moment the GTA 6 checklist and anything else useful is live, the email below is the only thing on this page that asks anything of you.
Questions people ask
Are there cheats in GTA 6?
Not confirmed. Rockstar has not announced any cheat codes for Grand Theft Auto VI, and none appear in the trailers or the Extended Look. Every Rockstar open world game we track has had them, so it would be a surprise if GTA 6 had none, but nothing is confirmed until launch.
Are the GTA 6 cheat codes online real?
No. Nobody outside Rockstar has played the finished game, so any list of GTA 6 cheats for PS5, Xbox or PC published before 19 November 2026 is invented.
Will cheats disable trophies in GTA 6?
Unknown. In GTA 5 a cheat switches off trophies and achievements for the rest of the session, in Red Dead 2 it also blocks saving, and in the San Andreas and Vice City Definitive Editions it disables them on that save file permanently.
Are there GTA 6 cheats for PC?
No. GTA 6 launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S only, and Rockstar has not announced a PC version.
Can you use a mod menu in GTA 6?
Rockstar's Mod Guidelines, published on 10 September 2026, tell players not to make, share or use cheat menus or other software that interferes with its multiplayer, online services or Creator Platform. GTA 6 also has no PC version yet, which is where mod menus usually run.
When will GTA 6 cheats be revealed?
If the game has them, they will be found after it launches on 19 November 2026. This page will list them once they have been checked on real hardware.
