Out since 27 August 2026 · 26:48, captured in game on PS5
GTA 6 Extended Look
Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look came out on 27 August 2026 and runs 26 minutes and 48 seconds. Rockstar says it was "captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5". It is still the longest look at GTA 6 that exists, and nothing has replaced it since.

Where to watch it now
Watch it here. YouTube age restricts it, so you need to be signed in to an account over 18. That is also why it is linked on this page and not embedded: an embed shows an error instead of the video.
It is on rockstargames.com/VI, Rockstar's own page for the game, with no sign in.
Netflix had it first, at 3pm ET on 27 August, six hours before everyone else. That head start is long spent and you do not need Netflix to watch it now.
What is in it
Fifty frames, each checked at the second it appears, in the order they appear. Tap any picture to see it full size, and the caption links to that exact second on YouTube so you can check it yourself.
The opening stretch 1:57 to 6:05
A dog in a front yard with its own prompts, a shotgun raid, and a car being opened with a Slim Jim.

These are the frames we checked at the second shown. They are our reading of the video, not a chapter list Rockstar published, and the gaps between them are footage we have not cut a still from rather than footage that does not exist.
Vice City streets 8:10 to 9:29
Ordinary traffic, then an armoured truck. The cement mixer and the semi are doing the same job the taxi is: filling a city.

Robberies 10:41 to 12:41
A rooftop bar, a street fight, and a convenience store mid robbery, with the getaway car waiting.

The police 14:01 to 16:09
The longest continuous run of police footage in the video: a helicopter, a cruiser going over, and the switch car at the end of it.

Water, races and time off 17:09 to 20:21
The stretch that is not about crime at all: an airboat, a ray under the surface, a kayak, a 16 car circuit race, and a shooting range scored out of twelve.

The last stretch 23:17 to 26:13
An office firefight, then it ends the way it started, with people doing nothing in particular: a car meet by the water and a fishing trip.

What Rockstar said about it
- It is not called Trailer 3. The official title is Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, and Rockstar has never confirmed that a third numbered trailer exists. Whether it functions as one is a fair argument, but the name is not ours to change.
- It is in game footage. Rockstar's own words: "Captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5". No frame rate or resolution figure came with that, and none can be read off a compressed video. See frame rate.
- The release date did not move. The same post restates 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. Both previous delays landed near a Take-Two earnings call, which is why people expected one. See will it be delayed?
- Nothing since has replaced it. The only GTA 6 announcement after it is the album, on 17 September. See every official announcement.
What it still does not tell you
Long as it is, the Extended Look left the questions people ask most unanswered, and no amount of frame counting changes that. Rockstar has still announced nothing about GTA 6 Online, nothing about a PC version, no trophy list, and no cheat codes. Anything you read claiming otherwise is not sourced from Rockstar.
The frame by frame of all three videos, side by side: GTA 6 trailers. The things in this one, sorted: vehicles, weapons, animals, shops and businesses, police and wanted level.
Questions people ask
How long is the GTA 6 Extended Look?
26 minutes and 48 seconds, per YouTube's own listing for Rockstar's upload. Rockstar did not give a runtime when it announced the video.
Where can I watch the GTA 6 Extended Look?
On Rockstar's YouTube channel and on the official GTA VI site at rockstargames.com/VI. It premiered on Netflix on 27 August 2026 and went up free on YouTube and Rockstar's site six hours later, so you do not need Netflix now.
Why does YouTube ask me to sign in to watch it?
The upload is age restricted, so YouTube requires a signed in account over 18. That restriction also blocks embedding, which is why this page links to the video rather than playing it here.
Is the Extended Look Trailer 3?
Rockstar has not called it a trailer. The official title is Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, and Rockstar has never confirmed that a third numbered trailer exists.
Was the Extended Look real gameplay?
Rockstar says it was "captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5". It does not say how much of it is played rather than staged for the camera, and no frame rate or resolution figure was given.
Did the Extended Look change the GTA 6 release date?
No. The same Newswire post restates 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S.
What was shown in the GTA 6 Extended Look?
Driving and traffic across Vice City, a shotgun raid, a convenience store robbery, a jewellery store robbery, an armoured truck, a long police chase with a helicopter, the weapon and item wheel, a 16 car circuit race, an off road race, a shooting range, scuba diving, kayaking, an airboat, a car meet and a fishing trip. This page has 50 stills of it, each linked to the second.
Is a GTA 6 Trailer 3 coming?
Rockstar has not announced one. It has also never numbered this video, so there is nothing to count from.
Video details from Rockstar's Newswire posts Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look (6 August 2026) and An Extended Look, Now Playing (27 August 2026), both read again on 23 September 2026, and the runtime from Rockstar's own YouTube upload. Every still is a frame from that video at the second linked in its caption, checked at full size; the video itself is only linked, never rehosted. All images (c) Rockstar Games.
