How long to 100% GTA 6
Rockstar has not stated a length for Grand Theft Auto VI, and no official material gives one. Any number circulating today is a guess or a report of a guess. What we can do is count what the previous four games actually asked of you, because those lists are on this site item by item.

How far apart the map's corners are, in Rockstar's own screenshots: the Keys, Mount Kalaga, Ambrosia, Vice City and the Grassrivers.
The six minute version
We made this page into a video: every item across the four games, counted, and why none of it turns into a size prediction.
What each game actually required
- Grand Theft Auto V: 601 trackable items across 14 categories, including 73 story missions, 59 strangers and freaks, 53 hobbies and pastimes and 53 random events.
- San Andreas: 513 items across 15 categories, including 97 story missions, 100 gang tags and 70 unique stunt jumps.
- Vice City: 277 items across 11 categories, including 100 hidden packages and 36 unique stunt jumps.
- Red Dead Redemption 2: 167 items across 9 categories, but 122 of those are story missions and the remaining categories are dense, so the item count understates the time badly.
That last point is the one that matters for predicting GTA 6. Item count is not hours. Red Dead 2 has under a third of GTA V's items and takes most people longer, because a compendium entry is not comparable to a stunt jump. Anyone converting a predicted item count into a predicted hour count is doing arithmetic on two different units.
What is actually known about GTA 6's size
- The map covers the state of Leonida, with Vice City plus surrounding areas including Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Mount Kalaga and Leonida Keys. See map regions.
- Two playable protagonists, Jason and Lucia, switchable.
- Nothing about mission count, category count, or completion percentage.
A larger map does not necessarily mean a longer completion run. San Andreas has a smaller map than GTA V and 513 items against 601.
The honest answer
Nobody knows, including us, and the first reliable number will come from people finishing it in the days after 19 November rather than from anyone predicting it now. Our own count goes on this page as soon as the checklist is complete, which means it will be an actual total rather than an estimate.
If you want it when it is real, the email below is the only ask on this page. The 100% guide covers what is likely to count, and the how long to beat page carries the same numbers for the games that already exist.
