ProgressBar collects the minimum needed to run a tracker site.
What we collect
Waitlist: your email address, stored securely, used for launch updates and nothing else. Unsubscribe any time. Tracker progress on this site: stored in your own browser (localStorage) unless you create an account, in which case it syncs to our database. The iOS app is separate and is covered below. Analytics: cookie-free counters served from our own domain, with no identifier of any kind attached. We record which pages and features were opened and how many items were ticked, kept only as daily totals that cannot be traced back to a person. We also record the site that linked you here, as a bare domain name such as google.com, once per browser per day. Never the full web address, and never search terms. Link codes: some of our own links carry a short code in the web address, such as ?ref=ig-launch, so we can tell which post or video a visit came from. If you arrived on one, that code is kept in your browser for 90 days, and if you later join the waitlist or create an account it is stored alongside that signup. It identifies the link, never you: it holds no information about you, we only ever keep the first one, and it is never shared or sold.
The iOS app
Your checklists work with no account. By default the app stores which items you have ticked on the device itself, and that progress is never sent to us. Optional sign in: you can sign in with Apple or with Discord to sync your progress between the app and this site. If you do, we store the email address that sign in shares with us, a display name, your ticks and playthrough names, and a sign in token for each device. With Sign in with Apple the email can be a private relay address Apple creates for us, so we never see your real one. Discord sign in also stores your Discord user id, username and avatar. Deleting your account: in the app, open the You tab and choose Delete account. The account and everything synced to it are removed immediately. Checklist data is downloaded from this site and cached on your device so the app works offline. Feedback: if you use Send feedback in the app, we receive what you typed, plus the app and iOS version and how many items you have ticked, so we can reproduce bugs. Your email address is sent only if you choose to add one, and only so we can reply. No analytics, no tracking and no third party SDKs are in the app at all.
What we never do
No selling data, no third-party trackers, no ad personalisation without explicit consent. If display ads arrive, EU visitors will see a consent prompt first.
